Eliot's Behavioral Health Division provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that are evidence based, provide rehabilitation and hope to those in services. Eliot is known for our innovative clinical approach, high quality clinical training and for having the most talented people in community behavioral health services.
Eliot's Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program is an innovative clinical model that focuses on meeting each individual where they are at as we develop creative clinical interventions to support individuals in achieving their life goals. Eliot is seeking an experienced intensive case manager with outstanding counseling skills, experience with mental health and advocacy. The chosen person will be scrappy, emapthetic, and motivated to improve the lives of adult with mental illnesses. Our ideal candidate will be driven, with an interpersonal savvy that allows you to develop lasting relationships with both the people we serve and with ACCS Team Members.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that Persons are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with ECHS' Human Rights policy. Includes but is not limited to: assisting Persons in maintaining their appearance; supporting Persons' cultural and religious preferences. Ensure that the foundations of services encompass empowerment, choices and recovery.
Empower Persons to exercise control over their lives, including daily routines within their home, their treatment and leisure activities. Includes informing Persons of choices in all areas of living to promote individual control.
Assist Persons in being fully integrated in their communities by supporting them in the use of community resources, encouraging them in establishing memberships within their communities, and reducing stigma within the community through education.
Provide on-call coverage on evenings and weekends as directed by the Clinical Supervisor on a rotating basis.
Provide and maintain therapeutic boundaries and a professional relationship with Persons. Exercise sound judgment by providing appropriate distance and support that promotes a trusting relationship and places the wellbeing of the Person first. Ensure that the emotional vulnerability of the Person is not exploited for personal or other interests and act in a manner that cannot be misconstrued by the Person. This includes but is not limited to the following: sexual exploitation; initiating or pursuing a relationship (friendship, sexual or otherwise); physical, verbal or emotional abuse; financial exploitation; gift giving that is not reasonable or necessary.
Maintain and adhere to Agency policy/procedures regarding Person confidentiality. Ensure that: Person records are secured and access is limited; clinical conversations occur in an area where the information cannot be overheard by others; privileged information regarding a Person is not given verbally or otherwise without the Person's written consent.
Ensure that services are culturally competent, strengths based, recovery based, focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of Person preferences. Ensure that the Person is at the center of all care and that all interventions are developed and provided in a manner consistent with Person preferences.
Ensure the Persons are free from neglect and abuse. Report all concerns/ suspicions of abuse/ neglect to supervisor and the Disabled Persons Protection Commission, Executive Office of Elder Affairs or Dept. Children and Families.
Carry out all activities in accordance with agency policy, procedures and objectives, DMH and DPH standards/ regulations and supervisory direction.
Actively take part in supervision, staff meetings, in-services and trainings as required or determined by supervisor.
Bachelors Rate: $38,000
Masters Rate: $42,000

Requirements
Requires a BA/BS in Psychology with at least two years of experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses or a Masters' Degree in a related field and/or a clinical license. Must have experience with: dual diagnosis, transitional-age-youth, behavioral, forensically involved, medically compromised, experience with family systems, brain injury or those requiring dialectal behavioral therapy. Ability to develop groups and individualized interventions for the assigned specialty population. Knowledge of interventions and evidence based treatment for the specialized population. Must have a strong commitment to mental health recovery. Must have ability to provide flexible services that are community based and focused on team work. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing requirements. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work and for the transportation of Persons as needed. Must have reliable telephone notification system for emergency contact.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
