Job Description Training is in office in Saugus, then position turns hybrid.
3 days in office in Saugus, rest of the week is remote.
Responsibilities Include:
Supporting Trust Officers and maintaining direct relationships with clients.
Manages daily account balances by reviewing client portfolios and analyzing the data for income protection.
If there are any questionable items, research issues and bring them to the attention of the officers suggesting a potential action plan i.
e.
transfer funds from one account to another to protect overdrafts; alert a new bond is due and can cover balance or note that interest is going to be paid and should suffice.
Establishes new accounts making sure all appropriate documentation has been collected and if not, obtaining all necessary documentation.
Enters all account information into the database to establish portfolio makeup, asset allocation, etc.
Closes accounts executing independent judgment on payment issues such as various estate taxes and fees.
Ensures that appropriate funds or assets are transferred to the correct accounts in a timely fashion.
Responsible for ensuring that governing documents for client accounts are imaged and secured in the vault, and all physical assets are deposited in the asset vault, i.
e.
, savings bonds, notes and legal documents.
Ensures payment of client bills through direct computer input, obtaining necessary approvals, making sure the bills are being paid against the accurate ledger potentially having a significant negative impact on the business if not done correctly and thoroughly.
Prepares client and prospect presentations for Trust Officers as needed Research and prepares Required Minimum Distributions (RMD's) for client IRA accounts.
Research, distribute and file all necessary federal and state tax forms for clients that are not electronically filed by the tax service.
Maintains accurate computer trust system account information including beneficiary information, synoptic information and generated functions.
Must be able to interpret basic trust and investment language in legal documentation.
Attends training seminars as required in reference to upgrades of the trust and/or computer systems and software.
Assist in the planning and coordination of client events.
Minimal preparation of correspondence and memos for officers as needed.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience 3
years of wealth management /trust administration.
Experience should include hands-on knowledge of Trust/Investment software operating systems.
Skills/Knowledge:
Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding of principles of trust and investment administration.
Must display excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and on the telephone.
Has a history of strong organizational and administrative skills, Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
